From realising I wanted to change the genre of music I focus on in my magazine, I have researched different magazines that are the age range I will be aiming to, and that relate to R&B, I produced it on Microsoft PowerPoint. By doing this research I have noticed that the images used are centered, the usual layout of text is around, surrounding it. Also the text/font used is bright and eye catching. By doing this research I now know where to begin with taking photos and the layout of the front cover.

In this research you will notice I have used images from inside the magazine for example a double page spread and a contents page. This also gives me ideas on how to place the text and layout of image on a page. The things I have found out from doing this I will carry on when creating my magazine.

first attempt.

This is the first attempt of creating a front cover, I took numerous amounts of photos and I chose this image to be on the front as I think it captures the whole meaning of music. This picture, I thought would be good because the guitar is in the center of the image and I could create it to be the focus point. By doing that I made the actual person in the adjustments of black and white and kept the guitar in colour so it does become the main focus.

The name of the magazine is 'Louder' I used the font of 'rosewood std' as i think it stands out, and works well with the image.

I picked this certain colour for a background as it can appeal to both men and women, and also anything that is put onto that colour, will stand out like the text and picture.

After creating this I realised that what I had created was good, but I think I could produce better work by focusing more on the type of music i like to listen to, which is R&B, therefor i stopped with this design, and started to begin research on R&B music magazine and create a new design.
