My group (James Pemberton, Abbie Garland) have come up with a solid storyline for our teaser trailer, which is based on a paranormal documentary, where the main character Alex Thomas is leading Rosy Reeves and Sam Douglas-Jones altogether 'a ghost hunting group' within a surgery desperate to find ghostly connections. Through out the research stages we have collected ideas on how the teaser trailer will be presented and which clips would be most effective. Therefore we have come up with what shots we will take, what angle we will use and lighting, this area is proven on the images. As well as using images we are using text to build up a sense of insecurity and tense atmosphere which involves the audience more.
This image show the areas of the production for our horror teaser trailer. We have arranged who is within the teaser trailer, we decided on using three characters two boys and one girl, as we think that is a good number of people, as well as having it more boy dominated I think this is more effective as it may show the innocence and vulnerability of the girl. Also we have organised the equipment we are using , wardrobe (sticking to dark clothes which reflects the atmosphere), lighting (dark, gloomy) and props.
This image clearly show the planning we all did to come to a final decision on film name. We created mind-map with all the ideas we had for creepy film names that relate to a paranormal adventure. We come up with many and as a group we highlighted the names we think most fit in our genre of film like 'beyond' 'no escape' 'not alone'. From their we come up with different names involving the previous names we liked to come up with one final film name.
The opotions we had for our final film name were:
- Look beyond the obvious
- Hollow grounds
- Your not alone
- Lights out
- Unknown void
- The senseless
From here it is clear that we made a tally chart of what different people all around the Sixth Form vited on which name they perffered and attracted them, this happend to be 'The Senseless' but was closely followed by 'Unkown Void'. So throught out this section we have come up with a final film name and the key areas of filming.
